Description
We are actively recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Operative to join a Leighton Buzzard company, joining a busy warehouse team, working in their spares department. Our client is one of the market leaders within their manufacturing sector, and they are recruiting due to continued growth Overview:Reporting to the Spares & Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the efficient and smooth running of our Stores & Warehouse functions. The primary focus will be to ensure the accurate handling, storage, and distribution of parts. Responsibilities:Loading/unloading using a counterbalance forklift truck.Receive deliveries, check for damaged or missing items, and verify quantities against delivery notes.Receive and transfer stock using the company's ERP system.Pick and pack customer orders for dispatch.Pick service & replenishment kits for engineers' van stock.Dispatch goods using DPD/DHL systems.Pick machines and parts for in-house test kitchen trials.Perform periodic stock checks on engineers' vans.Perform weekly cycle counts & year-end stock counts, including stock investigations.Order consumables for the departmentWaste disposal management.Being involved in continuous improvement tasks & evolving processes within the department.Perform general warehouse duties, including weekly cleans, organising work areas, and maintaining a safe working environment.Adhere to all H&S guidelines and company policies to prevent accidents or injuries at the workplace.Perform other duties as required by the Spares & Warehouse Manager.Requirements & Skills:Counterbalance Forklift truck licence preferable, but not essential.3 years’ experience within a Warehouse or Stores role.IT literate and previous use of ERP systems.
