Senior Project Manager - Major Infrastructure Programme
Location: Euston Station, London
Salary: £100,000 - £110,000 + benefits
We are currently seeking an accomplished Senior Project Manager to take a leading role in the delivery of complex, high-value works at Euston Station, one of the UK's most strategically important and technically demanding transport hubs. This is a senior leadership position within a major infrastructure programme, offering long-term stability and the opportunity to shape the successful delivery of nationally significant projects. You will be responsible for managing multiple workstreams and interfacing with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. The role requires a confident and proactive leader with strong technical understanding, excellent commercial awareness, and a proven ability to deliver under pressure.
Responsibilities:
Provide senior leadership across the full project lifecycle, from early design and planning through construction, commissioning, and handover
Manage and coordinate contractors, designers, consultants, and supply chain partners to ensure integrated delivery
Lead health, safety, and environmental performance, embedding a strong safety culture across all project activities
Maintain full accountability for programme, cost, quality, and risk management, ensuring alignment with client and business objectives
Develop and manage detailed project plans, budgets, and forecasts, reporting progress and performance at senior level
Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, constraints, and dependencies within a complex operational environment
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulators, and key stakeholders, acting as a trusted senior interface
Support and mentor junior project management staff, contributing to capability development and succession planning
Requirements:
Extensive experience as a Senior Project Manager delivering major infrastructure, rail, or large-scale civil engineering projects
Proven experience working for a Tier 1 main contractor, delivering large-scale civil engineering or infrastructure projects
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage multidisciplinary teams
Excellent commercial and contractual knowledge, including experience managing significant project budgets
Highly organised with strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
Relevant professional qualifications or chartership preferred (e.g. APM, PRINCE2, ICE, RICS, or equivalent)
Degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline
Familiarity with rail and transport standards (e.g. Network Rail standards, TfL requirements, HS2 assurance processes) - highly desirable
Strong understanding of temporary works, method statements, and construction sequencing in complex civil environments
