Temporary Senior Bookkeeper required for a multi-faceted business during a period of change.

Contract: 3-month temporary position

Salary: £33,000 - £35,000 per annum (pro-rata)

Hours: Monday-Thursday 9:00am-5:00pm, Friday 9:00am-4:30pm (30-minute lunch break)

On-site role only - enjoy working in a stunning countryside location overlooking the River Avon

About The Role

We are seeking a highly capable Senior Bookkeeper to join the friendly and proactive finance team for a 3-month temporary assignment with a possibility of the role turning permanent. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a truly unique and picturesque environment, supporting the day-to-day financial operations of this business. You will be working within one of the busiest entities, covering a broad range of accounting tasks including:
• Daily bank reconciliations and cashbook updates
• Processing purchase invoices and managing weekly payment runs
• Raising sales invoices and managing income
• Monthly financial reporting

This is a hands-on role requiring flexibility - from core finance tasks to occasionally answering phones or supporting general office needs. You'll need to be comfortable working independently and using your initiative.

What We're Looking For
• Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping
• Experience with Sage 200 preferred
• Confident using modern tools - this business uses dual screens, apps, and AI to streamline processes
• Flexible, adaptable, and happy to get stuck in where needed
• A team player with a proactive attitude
