Role SummaryThe Finance Manager will lead the firm’s financial planning, control, and compliance functions while also overseeing essential HR operations for a growing marketing firm. The role is primarily finance-focused, with limited but critical responsibility for HR administration and people processes.Key ResponsibilitiesManaging Finance for the Firm (70–80%)Manage end-to-end accounting operations, including AR/AP, general ledger, payroll coordination, and monthly/annual closures.Prepare and monitor budgets, cash flow forecasts, and financial reports for management review.Ensure statutory compliance, tax filings, audits, and liaison with external auditors, banks, and consultants.Track project-wise profitability, client billing, collections, and cost controls.Establish financial controls, policies, and MIS reporting to support business decisions.Support leadership with financial insights, forecasts, and risk assessments.Managing HR (20–30%)Oversee core HR operations including employee records, contracts, attendance, leave, and payroll inputs.Coordinate recruitment logistics and onboarding for new hires in collaboration with hiring managers.Support performance review cycles, increment planning, and HR documentation.Ensure compliance with basic labor laws and internal HR policies.Act as the point of contact for employee queries related to payroll, benefits, and policies. Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field (CA / CPA / CMA preferred).5–8 years of experience in finance roles, preferably in a small or mid-sized organization.Prior exposure to handling basic HR operations is essential.Strong knowledge of accounting systems, taxation, payroll, and compliance.Skills & CompetenciesStrong financial acumen and analytical skills.Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a lean team environment.High attention to detail, integrity, and confidentiality.Practical, hands-on approach with good stakeholder communication skills.
