Description
We are seeking a Litigation Solicitor with strong experience across general civil litigation and family law matters. This role suits a confident, proactive lawyer who can manage a varied caseload with minimal supervision and deliver high‑quality client service.
Key Responsibilities
• Managing a mixed caseload of civil litigation and family law files from instruction to resolution
• Advising clients on disputes including contract issues, bankruptcy, property disputes, debt recovery, and contentious probate
• Handling family law matters such as divorce, financial remedy, cohabitation disputes, and private children matters
• Drafting pleadings and legal documents including statements of case, applications, witness statements, and settlement agreements
• Conducting advocacy at interim hearings where appropriate
• Liaising with counsel, experts, and third parties
• Negotiating settlements and representing clients in mediation
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory and firm-wide procedures
• Contributing to business development and maintaining strong client relationships
Required Skills & Experience
• Qualified Solicitor with minimum 3 years PQE in litigation and/or family law. Candidates with lesser experience but an exceptional resume will also be considered
• Strong technical knowledge of civil procedure and family law processes
• Excellent drafting skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage a busy caseload independently
• Confident communicator with strong client‑facing skills
• Experience conducting advocacy is desirable but not essential
• Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to practice development
