One of our valued team members is retiring soon, so we are seeking someone to fill the gap that she will

leave. We are looking for a friendly, reliable and proactive Legal Secretary to join our small Residential Land team, based at our new, modern offices in the heart of Poole, overlooking the harbour.

This is a full time, onsite role, although consideration may be given to part time hours (no less than 4 days per week, which must include a Friday).

The Role

The role involves providing comprehensive secretarial support on a day-to-day basis to the Lawyers within the Residential Land team, to assist them in progressing their caseload of conveyancing matters. The position is varied, and you will be working alongside other support staff. Duties will include preparation and presentation of documents, typing via digital dictation methods, inputting information into the case management system (Actionstep) processing of bills, dealing with regulatory compliance as well as general administration such as booking client appointments and managing diaries.

The person

You should have previous experience in a similar legal secretarial/ support role with good overall knowledge of the administrative, compliance process and procedure relating to residential conveyancing. However, we may also consider applications from legal secretarial candidates who have gained their experience in a different area of law who now wish to transfer their skills into a conveyancing secretarial role.

This is a busy position, where there is a need to work to tight timescales and follow specific procedure,

therefore, you must be well-organised, deadline focused and have a calm disposition.

Salary guide: Between £24,000 - £28,000+ (Salary displayed on the advert is a guide only and any subsequent salary offer depend on level of skills, knowledge and experience.)

Hours: Standard contractual hours are Monday - Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm with a 1 hour unpaid lunch break (35 hours per week). Part time hours considered as set out above.
