Job Description – Electrical Engineer (10 Years UAE Experience)
Position Title: Electrical Engineer
Location: United Arab Emirates
Experience Required: 10+ years (UAE-based)

Role Overview
The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for leading, designing, supervising, and executing electrical engineering works for commercial, industrial, and residential projects in accordance with UAE regulations, DEWA/ADDC/SEWA standards, and international codes. The candidate should demonstrate strong technical expertise, project management skills, and hands-on experience working with consultants, contractors, and government authorities across the UAE.
Key Responsibilities Design & Engineering
• Develop and review electrical design drawings, load calculations, SLDs, layouts, schematics, and material specifications.
• Ensure designs comply with DEWA, ADDC, SEWA, DM, and UAE Fire & Life Safety codes.
• Prepare BOQs, technical submittals, method statements, and engineering documentation.
Project Execution & Supervision
• Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems including LV/MV systems, lighting, power distribution, ELV systems, and control systems.
• Monitor contractor activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and approved drawings.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and other engineering teams to resolve site issues.
Authority Approvals
• Manage and process approvals with UAE authorities (DEWA/SEWA/ADDC, DCD, Etisalat, DU).
• Attend inspections and ensure project readiness for utility connections.
Project Management
• Prepare progress reports, project schedules, risk assessments, and cost estimates.
• Lead technical meetings with consultants, contractors, and clients.
• Ensure timely delivery of project milestones and manage variations or technical challenges.
Testing, Commissioning & Handover
• Oversee FAT, SAT, and site testing of electrical equipment.
• Prepare testing & commissioning reports, snag lists, and final handover documents.
Required Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s is an advantage).
• Minimum 10 years of relevant electrical engineering experience in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of UAE regulations, utility authority standards, and international electrical codes (NEC, IEC, BS).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, Dialux, and MS Office.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid UAE driving license
