As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a commercially savvy Assistant Finance Manager / Senior Bookkeeper to help us deliver best-in-class services – from day-to-day operations to process transformation and reporting.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll play a key role in managing a portfolio of fast-growing, exciting businesses. You’ll:
• Contribute to regular bookkeeping and accounting processes, including:
• Management reporting and month-end close
• VAT returns and payroll
• Cashflow management
• Supplier liaison and payment runs
• Operational reporting
• Maintain dashboards and operational KPIs for performance tracking
• Maintain high-quality accounting records to support the portfolio lead
• Create, automate and maintain standard operating procedures and documentation
• Use cloud accounting software (Xero, Dext, Apron, etc.)
• Identify and implement process improvements, automation and tech integrations
• Mentor and train junior team members

You have:
• A recognised accounting qualification (AAT Level 4, ACCA/CIMA part- or fully qualified)
• 3+ years’ experience in a UK accountancy practice or multi-client environment
• Strong knowledge of UK VAT, bookkeeping, finance processes and management accounts
• Experience in food & drink sectors(preferred)
• Intermediate/advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, etc.)
• Proficiency in cloud accounting tools (Xero, Dext, Brightpay etc.)
• Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
• Confidence in managing multiple priorities and deadlines
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• A proactive, adaptable attitude with a continuous improvement approach
